Not a review, but a question – does this adapter offset the sprocket towards the frame ? One of the few problems I see with the Bafang BSS motors is that the front sprocket is so far offset that many rear derailleurs cannot shift to their lowest gears. I saw an Italian chainring that corrects that offset for sale around $100+ if I recall correctly, and will probably purchase one before my next mountain ride, unless this is an alternative that provides both offset and multiple choice.
Doug Snyder –
Our BA 104 and BA 130 adapters keep the chainrings in as close as possible to the gear case cover without scraping it(most customers are using 40T chainrings or less). But that moves the chainline out about 5mm further than the Bafang chainrings. I’m sure you have noticed that on the Bafang chainrings they use a sheetmetal stamping that is bell shaped and sort of wraps around the gear case. If the Italian’s have found a way to overcome the gear case I would love to see it as well.

LOL!! I give you 5 stars for that one Doug.
The bafang design sucks.
