Heavy Duty Bafang Stabilizer Bar – BSBHD-1

(3 customer reviews)

$23.95

The Heavy Duty Stabilizer Bar BSBHD-1 is our new heavy duty version Bafang stabilizer bar! 50% thicker than the standard model (BSB-1) and designed to handle the extra torque of the Bafang HD motors.

Stabilizer Bars are used as alternative fixing plates for stabilizing the mounting of Bafang mid-drives. Made of a higher strength stainless steel, and having a mounting angle of 40 degrees, this bar will fit most non full suspension bikes and attach to the chain stay. Some bending or forming will probably be required for a rock solid installation with either a hose clamp or suitable M6 bolt.  May be painted or left with original stainless steel finish.

the bar seems well made , how ever like the description says , you will need to bend it , I just did understand how much , on my mountain bike the chain stays are fat and since I need to bend it quite a lot then the product is worthless to me as I do not have any way to bend it correctly . For sure I am not going to be able to bend this by hand as it is solid

This stabilizer is great. Pay no attention to the guy who said you needed special tools to bend it. It is nice and thick but I put it in a vise and could push on it with just my hands to get the 2 small bends I needed in order for it to fit perfectly. I previously had a stabilizer from Luna Cycle and it was so weak that it twisted and bent when I was only on pedal assist level 2. I have the BBSHD mated to a Giant Seven MTB. Here’s a tip; get the Bafang Pro BB tool too. It is worth every penny. Don’t be a cheapskate!

Fantastic product! Just what I needed!

In my case, I mounted it to a custom, Bacchetta Giro 20/20 recumbent bicycle.
I didn’t use a hose clamp to secure it to the boom, but instead drilled a hole straight through the frame and secured the stabilizer with a 1/4-20 bolt. It’s rock-solid!

I’m not sure what all this talk of bending the bracket is, as I don’t ride a diamond-frame bike. I simply placed a spacer between the frame and the stabilizer, so there would be no flexing of the bracket.

I just wish I could post a picture of what I did. It turned out great!
