I bought a 36v Bafang BBS01 kit in 2016 from Doug Snyder based on positive reviews on ebike forums. In April 2016 Bafang changed their BBS motor design without telling their US retailers, it was thanks to Doug keeping a stock of spares for his customers that I was able to replace the controller twice on my BBS01A model. I have since purchased wear and tear items including replacement Bafang crank arms and bolts. Shipping across country has always been prompt. 3 years on I am still using the original motor thanks to California Ebike.

Contacted Doug over a year ago, the guy is smart and honest. Just one of the best sources on engineering an ebike you can find. Went out to his shop and was impressed by his personality and expertise.
